ADAC’s aim in 2022 is to mail letters to 88 Victorian parliamentarians stating the community is against a new fossil fuel development in Victoria – the Viva Energy Gas Terminal in Geelong.
This Viva development is both a Victorian and an Australian problem, as it will further increase emissions. The Victorian State Government has a policy known as the Victorian Renewable Energy Target to reduce emissions to 50 per cent by 2030. (See VRET Victoria). What a contradiction if this gas terminal is approved.

1. Register online – you will then receive the ADAC letter. Registration opens on 15 September
2. Print off the letter from ADAC
3. Add your details in the box on the letter on page 3
4. Buy a stamp and mail to your local member asking for a meeting.
ADAC currently have a networker in each of these 19 electorates: Bass, Bellarine, Benambra, Bendigo West, Brunswick, Buninyong, Footscray, Geelong, Hawthorn, Lara, Monbulk, Mornington, Northcote, Ovens Valley, Pascoe Vale, Polwarth, Rowville, South Barwon, and Williamstown.
Can climate groups please help again and suggest one member in each electorate, who may have half an hour per week to help coordinate 3 or 4 other members to each mail the ADAC letter to their local parliamentarian asking for real climate action, stop this Viva development, and a meeting?
